The St. George Island Business Association consists of business owners and individuals who have an interest in economic activities on St. George Island, Florida. The purpose of the group is to foster an economic climate that is conducive to the growth and development of the business community. The association is non-profit organization with officers and a board of directors that meet in local businesses on St. George Island.
Thee annual cost of membership has recently been lowered so as not to impose a hardship on anyone who wishes to be a member. The annual membership is now $35, or three years for $100.
Upcoming Events
Columbus Day weekend in early October : Franklin County Oyster Festival - A family festival that includes music, a fishing tournament, a 5K run, and lots of seafood.
The first Friday in December: Island Lights - Jingle jog, Santa, coffee, snacks, hot chocolate and lighting of the palms.
First Tueday in February: Snowbird Day - Raffle "run" to the local businesses, lighthouse climb, state park entry and nature walk, bingo, museum tours, and dinner with a cash bar.
